Middle Ground: Chapter Twelve

Beside Noel was who she assumed was Lily, or rather Lilim. The woman was busty and covered in very little. Her tight leather skirt was more like a belt than anything and the only thing that covered her breasts were the tiniest of bras. Her hair was long, dark and wavy; it cascaded over her shoulders, her seductive eyes roaming the crowd lewdly. Small black wings flexed in excitement.

Middle Ground: Chapter Eleven

“I can’t believe you seduced me.” Ford said, out of breath. Athen just gave a lazy smile from her position beside Ford. She was laying flat on her stomach. “I think we need to get you out of here. Hell is corrupting you. I think I miss when you were naïve, shy and innocent.” Athen raised her right eyebrow at the man as if asking if he was serious. “Okay, not that much, but hell be blessed if I am ever able to say no to you again. You are a dangerous force Athen.” The girl could only laugh, far too exhausted from their previous activities for much else.

Joey’s boisterous laugh filled the room.

Middle Ground: Chapter Nine

The fanged prince looked at the angel in front of him, bright purple eyes stared back. He wondered if all angels, this being the first he’s ever seen, were that attractive. The one in front of him had long whitish blond hair to her mid back, which was nestled between large sprawling mostly grey wings. Her outfit was a body suit in nature a strip of black materiel trailing down her left leg while the right on bared creamy unclothed skin. The top of the body suit was low cut and definitely not angelic in purpose, a walking sin.

The grey eyes blinked. They were eyes Athen was far too familiar with. She was lost for words as the demon glared at her.

Middle Ground: Chapter Eight

Athen’s hand swept along the table searching for the source of the annoying ringing. She decided it was far too early for anyone to call her. It was far too early for Ford to even bug her. Athen’s face turned hot, blushing at the name of her housemate, now roommate and lover. She thought about last night on the couch and her face got even hotter. Seizing the annoying device Athen stood from her bed. Looking at the message she read out loud to herself.

“Athen, the angel…” She started, her throat was sore and dry, she cleared it with a cough. Mumbling she took a step, with a sway she landed back on the bed. She blamed it on the initial fatigue of waking up and continued reading. “Found; possible gate way. Location.” The message linked to a picture. Athen smiled brightly, and cheered. Finally a clue, and some help!

Middle Ground: Chapter Six

“Velcome!” Athen smiled brightly waiting for the woman to take notice of her. “Athen, dear! I’m so glad to see you again.” The Greek woman gave Athen a huge hug. The small woman’s head of graying hair tickled the underside of Athen’s chin.

“It’s good to see you too, Yaya.” Athen greeted the woman with a large smile and returned the hug. “A seat for two please.” The last time Athen had seen Yaya, was when the girl had quit on Ford’s request. The older woman was understanding about the situation. Commenting on how with Athen’s beauty it was best to keep her locked up away from predators. Athen had just laughed at the comment.

Middle Ground: Chapter Two

Even as the sun rose Athen stayed in bed, engulfed in the comfort of the warm blankets. She was in no rush today. If she waited for Ford to show her the library she would be saving herself loads of time in the long run, so she didn’t think of today as slacking off. She thought of it as an investment, one that benefited everyone. With that peace of mind, Athen rolled over to a more comfortable position and was lulled into her favorite past time. Sleep.
